Get involved in Grand Rapids!

This year’s quilt show’s theme is “A Stitch in Time; Every Quilt Has a Story.” The quilt show is on Friday and Saturday, September 14 and 15, 2018 at the Baxter Community Center Gym from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Grand Valley American Indian Lodge invites the community to the 57th Traditional Pow Wow. Whether it is your first time at a pow wow or your tenth, you will enjoy the excitement, the color, the dancing, drumming, crafts and food!
The WYCE Annual CD & Record Sale is Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Eastown Streetfair. Generously donated vinyl, 78s, 8 tracks, CDs, and cassettes will be on sale for $1 each. We are also excited to announce Hayes Griffin, our new Station Manager, will be hanging out at the booth all day.
The festival is August 18-19, 2018. Three-hour shifts are available to assist in presenting this event to the community. All volunteers will receive a t-shirt, bottled water and the opportunity to help put on this free public event in the community.
Teachers and educators can enjoy a free day to explore the GRPM and the John Ball Zoo while learning about education programs available to their classrooms. All educators receive free admission and free parking from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at both institutions.
Donation program gets fresh-picked produce to those in need, supporting local farms and food pantries.
Thursday evenings in July and August GRAM on the Green with WYCE offers free live music from a curated the selection of performances to reflect the world of music the station offers as well as the local/regional platform it supports.
Kids at the Market will engage kids through crafts, science experiments, animals, fitness and more.
The production of Henry VI will play at the Dog Story Theater in Grand Rapids, June 15-24, 2018.
The first annual Three Stacks Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan will feature punk and alternative rock performances from both local and international bands.
