Breastfeeding rights under scrutiny

As a nursing mother I was denied my right to nurse my child as needed. Despite Michigan's “Breastfeeding Antidiscrimination Act," I was directed to nurse only in a small study space. Grand Rapids Public Library needs to take steps to create a a safe, welcoming breastfeeding environment.

One of the reasons I love living in Grand Rapids is because I can get the best of both worlds. If I want to get a little break from the city, I can easily go on a hike somewhere close. If I want to go on a bike ride, I can ride the Fred Meijer M-6 or Kent Trails, all within 10 miles from downtown.
