Ashley John Pidford's installation features a series of kinetic sculptures called Spin, Click, Knock. His installation explored how sound communicates and evokes when combined with visual and tactile experiences. His practice is informed by common or obsolete technology, typography, music and the relationship between sight and sound as a phenomenological experience. Pigford's installation was at UICA from February 5 to March 5, 2010.

Ashley John Pigford is currently an Assistant Professor and Coordinator at the University of Delaware where he earned a BS in Visual Communications. Additionally, he received an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
