Users of The Rapidian attest that they understand and agree to the following policies and guidelines:

Accounts may not have false information. Only one account is permissible per person. Multiples will be deleted.

Community members who submit content (text, photo, video or audio) remain the owners of the content. Submitting content indicates permission for the content to be displayed on the site and redistributed by others according to Creative Commons licensing (must be unedited and proper credit given to the content creator).

Such display or distribution does not constitute any ownership of the submitted content by The Rapidian, Community Media Center or any partners or sponsors. Content creators/owners are free to use their content without restriction in any other time/place and manner they wish.

Upon submitting content for distribution via The Rapidian, all submitters attest to that they have or have obtained ownership/rights/permissions necessary to legally distribute the content. Further, content submitters accept complete liability for their submission; fully attesting to the fact there is no illegal content and they alone are responsible for any claims to the contrary. Any information, comments and stories posted to this site include the user's real name.

Advertorial content that has been commissioned and paid for by a third party (either cash or goods in barter) are not fit for publication on The Rapidian.

Users agree to use this site within the spirit of the of The Rapidian values statement, which include:

• Civility
• Ethical reporting
• Proper attribution/credit
• Local emphasis
• Open identity (no anonymous posting)

Users may not post material or comments that are libelous, unsubstantiated, include hate speech or are considered personal attacks. Such content, if posted, will be flagged and removed. Continued submissions containing such material may result in sanctions up to and including cancellation of the user account.

Content submitted may be rated by others. Such ratings may affect the placement of content.

Users indemnify and hold harmless The Rapidian, Community Media Center, its partners and sponsors in issues related to content submitted.
