Get involved in Grand Rapids!

To raise awareness about and share the food, entertainment, and traditions of Asian culture, a team of eight Grand Rapids community members has come together to plan and execute the City’s first Asian Festival.
In March, the Grand Rapids Downtown Market will present its first-ever Recipes for Success series, a three-week program designed for food entrepreneurs. The free educational seminars are aimed at providing industry insight to budding and accelerating food entrepreneurs.
Taste of Soul Sunday will be held this Sunday, February 19 at the Grand Rapids Public Library’s downtown Main Branch.
The Oscar Nominated Short Films will be screening from February 10 – March 29, 2017 from the categories of live-action, documentary and animation.

"Always Shine" is screening in the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts movie theater through January 26, 2017.

"The Brand New Testament" is screening at UICA January 6 - January 19, 2016.
Now through December 31, 2016 shows will take place at the Meijer Theater in the Grand Rapids Public Musem in conjunction with their special exhibit "Merry Christmas, Charlie Brown."
On Thursday, December 8, Partners for a Racism-Free Community will host their annual Race Together fundraiser at CityFlats Ballroom. The evening will include cocktails, music by Vox Vidorra, and a celebration of the diversity of West Michigan.
