GRAND RAPIDS – Master Arts Theatre is thrilled to announce its 2012-2013 season of engaging, intimate theater. Master Arts has been serving West Michigan with quality community theater since 1985, and this season of shows promises to be more of the same. Our season opens with a reflection on America’s past. The musical Quilters is coming to life at Master Arts Theatre August 22nd – September 22nd. Set in the American West, a pioneer mother and her daughters share stories of frontier life and womanhood. The show combines music, dance, and scenes of dramatic intensity in a tribute to the courage and spirit of our nation’s pioneer women.
In our hilarious Christmas tale, a couple struggling to put on a church pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. Their telling of the Christmas story may be a bit unconventional, but hopefully you’ll agree that they present The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.
In February and March Master Arts will present the musical revue Forever Plaid. This deliciously goofy revue centers on four ambitious male singers killed in a car crash on the way to their first big concert in the 1950s. Join them as they journey back from the after-life to perform the show that never was.
The season wraps up with C.S. Lewis’s The Great Divorce. Follow a band of unique companions as they take a bus ride between heaven and hell, during which they are faced with a choice that proves to be much harder than they anticipated.

Musicals: Adults $18, Senior Citizens (62+) $16, Student $16.
Non Musicals: Adults $16, Senior Citizens (62+) $14, Student $14.
Season tickets are also available. Each season subscription contains four (4) ticket vouchers. The voucher ticket price is discounted from Master Arts’ regular ticket prices. You may use up to two (2) vouchers per show from each season subscription. Season ticket holders may reserve seats one week earlier than the general public.
