On Monday, March 4, Mayor Rosalynn Bliss and Grand Rapids Emergency Management Administrator Allison Farole will be in the GRTV studio for the March 2024 edition of City Connection.

Farole will be able to stress the importance of community members preparing for disasters, joining the CERT team, and more timely, participating in the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) emergency response from last summer’s storm that is presently ongoing.

The Rapidian's program manager, Allison Donahue, will be hosting the show.

Members of the community can submit their questions to Mayor Bliss and Emergency Management Administrator Allison Farole by emailing [email protected]. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube beginning at 4:00 p.m. on March 4.

For over 30 years, the mayors of Grand Rapids have hosted City Connection, a monthly, live call-in show on GRTV’s Livewire, Comcast channel 24. Mayor John Logie started the program in 1992 as a way to share mayoral perspective with Grand Rapidians and to bring a little more transparency to local government. City Connection is an opportunity to interact directly with one of our city’s top elected officials.

The Rapidian, a program of the 501(c)3 nonprofit Community Media Center, relies on the community’s support to help cover the cost of training reporters and publishing content.

We need your help.

If each of our readers and content creators who values this community platform help support its creation and maintenance, The Rapidian can continue to educate and facilitate a conversation around issues for years to come.
