INTERVIEW
In this episode of Catalyst Radio we visit with local journalist Mary Ullmer. Ullmer was most recently sports editor for The Grand Rapids Press, has worked at the Chicago Tribune and at publications throughout the country. But at the same time she was selected for induction into the Journalism Hall of Fame at Central Michigan University, the local daily newspaper eliminated the sports editor position, along with numerous other editorial positions -- and Ullmer found herself remaking a career in the field of journalism.
Mary Ullmer shares with us what she sees in the transformation of the news media, what she is doing now as a journalist, and about a new publication project.
MUSIC
Music featured this week on Catalyst Radio from local band The Soil And The Sun, from the new release called What Wonder Is The Universe, with samplings of the songs “Engadine” and “One Woman.”
