City Lights Music Festival has established its reputation as Grand Rapids’ largest electronic dance music (EDM) festival, featuring local talent. With an attendance of approximately 3,500 the first year and 10,000 in 2010 and 2011, the City Lights talent roster has expanded with its audience as EDM continues to gain popularity across the country to include artists from Chicago and Detroit. This year, the festival has evolved even further, expanding to two days, more stages, and the talent of global and local DJs, together fueling the era of electronic dance music and an appreciation for the music, art, and culture of Grand Rapids.
