- About: I am an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Calvin College. I am also a fellow in the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics and I serve as a member of the Humane Society of the United States Faith Advisory Council. I co-founded and annually convene Wake Up Weekend, an annual animal advocacy festival in Grand Rapids, MI. I enjoy family, friendship, philosophy as a way of life, animal advocacy, music of all kinds, running, cooking and eating - especially vegan desserts!
