THE UNIVERSITY CLUB OF GRAND RAPIDS – DOWNTOWN’S BEST KEPT SECRET!
Contact: Cynthia Poll
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., December 20, 2013 – As many local athletic facilities are closing their doors, the University Club of Grand Rapids is thriving and sees continual growth each month. Centrally located in downtown Grand Rapids within the Fifth Third Center, the University Club is a private Club offering one of the last full-service athletic facilities in the area.
“Many of our members say we have Grand Rapids’ best kept secret regarding our Athletic Club” states General Manager, Cynthia Poll. “We have all the amenities of a large athletic facility but without the busyness, so members are never made to wait for the next machine. Our locker rooms are stocked with toiletries and towels, and daily laundry service is available. You don’t find that at any other area club.”
In addition to the usual cardio equipment and weight machines, the University Club has a pool, spa, basketball court, and separate saunas for men and women. Membership starts at $80 per month, which includes all group fitness classes such as TRX, Spinning, Yoga and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Membership also includes dining privileges to the Club’s 10th floor and the Athletic Club Dining Room as well as invitations to all Club events.
“Although it is unfortunate that longtime Clubs are shutting their doors, we hope those former members give us a try”, shares Poll. “I think they will be pleased with what they find at the UClub.”
Established in 1923, the University Club of Grand Rapids is a premier private club in West Michigan. With spacious athletic and dining facilities, the Club’s downtown Grand Rapids location offers convenient parking. The University Club is the perfect place for enjoying a business lunch with a new client, improving your stamina with a workout session, or networking over cocktails with other professionals. With reciprocal privileges at more than 100 private clubs across the country, membership at the University Club provides for a lifetime of personal and professional associations.
