Sight/Sound Music Presents free avant-classical performance By GVSU New Music Ensemble at The DAAC
Contact:
Bridging the gap between the electronic and acoustic worlds, Sight/Sound Music specializes in blending elements of the avant-classical practice with the concurrently flourishing electronica scene to bring an innovative breed of music that is not quite classical, not quite club.
Sight/Sound*5 continues the tradition, featuring the GVSUNME performing works from their recent east coast tour which was described as “kaleidoscopic” and “hypnotic” by the Washington Post earlier this month.
The program features electronic-acoustic hybrid music by group leader Bill Ryan, student and Sight/Sound Music co-founder Daniel Rhode, and nationally recognized composer DJ Sparr.
The program will also feature “alternate universe” In C Remixed tracks, arranged from Adam Cuthbert and Bill Ryan.
