Grand Rapids, Mich. - On Sunday September 16, 2012 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, the parking lot behind San Chez Bistro will be filled with art vendors and live entertainment. A Lot of Art, presented by San Chez Bistro, is a fundraiser to benefit the Avenue for the Arts. This is a wonderful opportunity to support local creativity and community.

In the lot, over 20 local artists will showcase handmade goods for purchase ranging from jewelry and accessories to ceramics and prints. In addition to outdoor festivities, guests can wander inside the building for light appetizers, cash bar, paella cooking demonstrations, and more live entertainment. The event will feature a preview of 11 Artprize artist installations including the unveiling of a new mural by local artist Phanie Mills-Behning.

Entertainment includes Delilah DeWilde and the Lost Boys, Jes Kramer, Karisa Wilson, Seth Galligan, and The Sweet J Band. Music will begin at 5:00pm and finish at 9:00pm.

Entrance to the event is $10 at the door. All proceeds will benefit the Avenue for the Arts, a center for arts and culture located in the South Division business corridor. Responsible for events like Art.Downtown., The Market and Urban Lights, the Avenue for the Arts is comprised of residential, commercial and nonprofit groups working together in a creative community.
