Grand Rapids, MI, December 30, 2011— Lafayette Records is release show for their second cassette, Witchcraft by Pistolbrides, December 30 at Dinderbeck Studio.
The E.P. is the first release by Pistolbrides. Although fairly young, must member are veterans of the Grand Rapids music community and have participated in bands like Mighty Narwhale, Chip Fundy, and Lucky Shoreline.
This will be second release but Lafayette Records. Lafayette Records is a cassette label that was started September with the release of Nothin’ In My Eyes by Radiator Hospital. Lafayette Records was started to document and promote West Michigan artist.
In recent years, cassette culture provides an affordable way for musicians to do high quality small print runs of their albums.
