Tour GR — Where Past Is Present offers The Morton Historic Tours during ArtPrize 2014 at SiTE:LAB. Let Tour GR take you on an historical journey through the 90+ years of this downtown establishment.
The Kent State Bank opened September 4, 1923 and The Morton Hotel opened just two months later on November 1. It was filled entirely with Grand Rapids-Made furniture and fixtures mostly from stock but in addition unique one-of-a-kind custom chairs and furniture with the Morton Family coat-of-arms were also made to order.
