ColorInc, a local professional photo lab, has announced that they will be launching a “School of Photography” on May 25.

The Grandville, MI based printing company was established in 2003 as a web-based full-service professional digital photo lab that handles printing, retouching, and color management services for both professional and aspiring photographers around the globe.

ColorInc's School of Photography will hold classes featuring various professionals in the emerging Photography Industry. Speakers will be coming in from around the country to share their expertise. Topics will range from building and marketing a photography-based business to advice on improving techniques such as lighting, posing, etc.

Tim Kasberger, President of ColorInc, said that “in the Photography Industry, education is essential. Our goal for School of Photography is to bring world-class teachers to Grand Rapids.”

ColorInc's School of Photography kicks off May 25, with speaker Dusty Brown, a Grand Rapids based professional photographer. Dusty Brown has been a professional photographer for over 15 years and will talk about “How to Build a Successful Photography Business”. On June 29, ColorInc welcomes Skip Cohen, founder of Marketing Essentials International. Skip will share his expertise in social media, publicity, promotions, community involvement, websites, direct mail and diversification.

The School of Photography will be held at Western Michigan University's Downtown Grand Rapids Campus at 200 Ionia Ave. The classes are open to the public, and tickets can be purchased at www.colorincprolab.com/events or at the door.
