Feast to Give is an all day event geared toward raising money and awareness for Heartside Gleaning Initiative. “Feast To Give” will be held April 9th alongside Art.Downtown throughout various restaurants and businesses in downtown Grand Rapids.
Participating restaurants will be donating a portion of their profit from the day of the event to Heartside Gleaning Initiative. These restaurants include:
San Chez
Lantern Coffee Bar and Lounge
Bartertown Diner
Horseshoe Smokehouse
Heartside Gleaning Initiative (HGI) empowers Heartside and surrounding communities to become healthier through increased access to healthy foods and nutrition education. We do this by collecting excess produce from farmers’ markets and transporting it to the low-income neighborhood of Heartside for distribution to individuals, food pantries and free and low-cost meal programs.
Registration is not necessarily. Show up ready to eat, drink, converse and view art while impacting the health and lives of many individuals throughout Grand Rapids. More information can be found at Heartside Gleaning Initiative Facebook, www.heartsidegleaning.org
