Grand Rapids Wellness Hosts Several Wellness Events

Grand Rapids Wellness Offers Reduced-Rate Acupuncture, Free Qigong Class, and Open House
On Wenesday, October 21st, from 10am-6pm, Grand Rapids Wellness will offer a day of Reduced-Rate Acupuncture to introduce the community to its newest practitioner, Aileen Hinman. Aileen will be offering 30-minute appointments for $20, and 60-minute appointments for $40 (1/2 off the regular rates). New and current patients are welcome.
Later, on the evening of Wednesday, October 21st from 6pm-7pm, Kristin Swann, MS, will be offering a free Qigong Class, "Cultivate Your Qi." Qigong is, "an integration of physical postures, breathing techniques, and focused intentions. Qigong practices can be classified as martial, medical, or spiritual." The class is open to all ages and fitness levels; please come dressed in comfortable clothing. No registration required.
On Thursday, October 22nd, Grand Rapids Wellness will host an Open House for the public from 4-7pm. The Open House will feature food and spirits, tours of the office--including the newly renovated front office--explanation of services, adjusting demonstrations, local art on display, a draawing for a free massage, and other giveaways. The event celebrates the recent business name change (formerly Grand Rapids Chiropractic and Acupuncture), renovated front office space, and the addition of new practitioner, acupuncturist Aileen Hinman.
"We aim to provide wellness-based health care services to Grand Rapids area residents," said Kristin Swann. "We are excited to be of service in teh community we live in."
Dr. Doug deVries, Chiropractor, and Kristin Swann, Acupuncturist, have thousands of hours of experience in healthcare working with patients as individuals. They believe in treating each patient with a comprehensive strategy involving physical adjustments, acupuncture, massage, education, nutritional support, and wellness planning.
