Young Independent Candidate Gains Attention after Schmidt's Party Switch

As you know, this month’s election is fast approaching and the city of Grand Rapids continues to urge community members to get out there and vote. Many Rapidian readers may want to be more informed on various candidates in order for them to see why Grand Rapids needs this change.
The state of Michigan has seen representatives over the recent years make unsustainable promises to become reelected. Keith Allard will oppose any tax increase and will provide more opportunities to young professionals. He will bring reforms to public employee compensation and corrections system. His first priority is introducing a bill to establish a part-time legislature, which 39 other states have already done.
Every vote matters, as it will lead to many opportunities in creating a more sustainable environment for the greater Grand Rapids community.
