The Bandit Zine Presents Grand Rapids Feminist Film Fest
Grand Rapids first-ever feminist film festival
Grand Rapids, MI - Today, The Bandit Zine, a locally run social justice magazine, announced that it will present Grand Rapid's first-ever feminist film festival: the Grand Rapids Feminist Film Fest (GRFFF). The film fest will feature short films from feminist-identified and women-identified filmmakers. It is set to take place on September 21, 2014, at historic Wealthy Theatre in Grand Rapids, MI, and is free of charge and open to the public.
The Bandit Zine, among many others, think it’s about time that we promote the creative genius of female artists and feminist filmmakers to illustrate the diverse experiences of women through the medium of film. The event will feature not only local Grand Rapids filmmakers, but also include award-winning films from across the globe.
Professionals, amateurs and students locally, nationally and internationally are welcome to submit films for the festival. Submissions are due by August 18. The submission form can be found on our website.
