FoolMoon comes to ArtPrize!

...Don't just see it, BE it!

Ann Arbor’s WonderFool Productions is thrilled to offer 8  creative workshops to community members in the Grand Rapids area. “Moonagerie” is the theme for this year’s FoolMoon Processional where hundreds of creatures, both real and imagined, will dance and float in ethereal splendor above the spectators at ArtPrize. ( See FoolMoon video: http://vimeo.com/22010190 )

Artists from WonderFool Productions will assist community members in making a dazzling piece of glow-in-the-dark sculpture. Everyone can then bring their  amazing illuminated creation to be showcased in FoolMoon, a giant nighttime processional that winds its way through downtown Grand Rapids during one of ArtPrize’s busiest weekends. Pageant participants and revelers alike can follow the FoolMoon Processional to the afterglow party on the south lawn of Grand Rapids Public Museum. Delicious treats and spirits plus a unique roving shadow-puppet performance, experimental wall-sized video game, club dancing to DJ Scout, and more! Guaranteed to be a sizzler under the stars! Grand Rapids Public Museum (south lawn) Saturday, Sept.  28th, 7pm to 11pm.

Fool Moon, in partnership with the Grand Rapids Public Museum, will take place on Saturday, September 28th, starting at dusk (approx 7:30pm).

(Artists, gawkers, street performers, yaks, and roving musicians are encouraged to meet up on the south lawn of the Grand Rapids Public Museum by 7:30pm on Saturday, September 28th. A beautiful, multitude of hand-made illuminated lantern sculptures, performers, and musicians will then head towards downtown Grand Rapids returning to the Grand Rapids Public Museum by 8:30pm.)
