In partnership with the YMCA, the library is pleased to offer Cooking Matters, a six-week nutritional education program that fights hunger by teaching families how to make healthy food choices on a budget. Participants will learn how to select nutritious and low-cost ingredients and prepare them in ways that provide the best possible nourishment to their families. Class participants will assist in food preparation during the class. Class size is limited and registration is required. Participants must have a Grand Rapids Public Library card and commit to attending all six sessions. Register at grpl.org/register.
