Farmers market to host free cheese making class

August Treu, owner and chef at August’s Kitchen, will be hosting a free, one-hour class on cheese making at the Fulton Street Farmers Market on Wednesday July 10 at 6:00 p.m. 
 
The class will be held in the market building at 1147 East Fulton Street. The farmers market will be open that night from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. 
 
The class will feature ‘starter’ cheeses including hard and soft cheese. You will also learn about other types of milk products, such as buttermilk, yogurt and farmer’s cheese. 
 
There will be information on proper cheese making equipment as well as lots of information sources and recipe and instruction books.
