Pitch:

GVSU Downtown Toastmasters Club is hosting a Public Open House on Thursday, October 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. to showcase our professional and ethnic diversity, as well as the public speaking talent of our club members.

We will be featuring "Table Topics", an impromptu speaking activity with a diversity-related theme. Two club members will also be giving prepared speeches about their ethnic backgrounds and cultures.

Club members will bring various ethnic dishes from their backgrounds. Club members and guests are encouraged to sample these extraordinary foods! Coffee and water will also be provided.

At GVSU Downtown Toastmasters Club, students, teachers and area professionals of Grand Rapids come together every Thursday morning to network and develop their public speaking and leadership skills. Club meetings start at 7:30 a.m. and end at 8:30 a.m.

Club meetings are held in room 107C (The University Club) of the GVSU DeVos Center. The Richard M. DeVos Center is located at 401 W. Fulton Street, just west of US-131. Take Exit 85B, then follow Lake Michigan Drive west about 0.1 mile to Winter Avenue. Follow Winter Avenue south for one block, then turn right onto Fulton Street. The campus is on the left (north) side of the street. Parking is free... just mention Toastmasters Club to the parking attendant.
