Hello, A good friend and I started a company in late December called Grandeavor with the idea to uniquely brand Grand Rapids on a national scale. Our internal company motto is "Brand the Grand." The name Grandeavor is a combination of the words “Grand”+”Endeavor”. We have designed a unique logo for Grand Rapids meshing the idea of the old english Detroit "D" with the idea of city branding that has received positive initial feedback. The logo incorporates a "G" and "R" into a sleek design that people have well too.
It is our goal to promote the logo to a level where it is recognizable on a national scale. When people see it in airports, or skiing out west, they will know it represents Grand Rapids, MI. We are in the process of expanding our apparel line and are in a full marketing swing to get the word out within the community. My friend and I both grew up in Grand Rapids, love this town and are passionate about giving the city a image recognizable around the country. We are also developing a retail partner program with local Grand Rapids retailers.
