Artprize artists hosting charity events this weekend

The Carpe Diem Artists are giving back to the community of Grand Rapids. We are hosting three charity events on Friday, September 24th and Saturday, September 25th. Proceeds will be donated to God’s Kitchen and Carpe Diem Volleyball.
This year for Art Prize 2010, Carpe Diem Volleyball, a not-for-profit organization, is hosting 12 artists. They include local artists and artists from as far away as Taiwan.
We cordially invite you to join us on Friday, September 24th at 7:30pm for our Charity Art Auction. Over $37,000 in art will be up for auction. Works to be sold include paintings, prints,gift certificates, photographs and sculpture. We have procured art from internationally acclaimed artists Timmy Graham and Ted Hayward, as well as local and regional artists.
Join us on Saturday, September 25th for our charity volleyball tournament and silent auction. The events start at 9:30am and run all day. Walk away with great gift vouchers from local restaurants, golf courses, hair salons, the Circle Theatre and more.
On both days we will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the local food banks.
This is a great opportunity to support local charities and view some terrific art. We hope you will find time to join us. Thanks for your time.
