WHO: The Historic Preservation Commission and City of Grand Rapids Planning Dept.
WHAT: 18th Annual Historic Preservation Award Ceremony
The Award Ceremony has been created to recognize those groups and individuals that have made an impact on our community. During the Ceremony the following will take place:
18th Annual Historic Preservation Awards Presentation
- Eight preservation awards will be bestowed upon those, who through their efforts have restored and or renovated a piece of local history while at the same time having a positive physical, social and/or economic impact on their neighborhoods and subsequently the city as a whole. Examples GRCC, St. Adalberts, St. Mary’s, Pyramid Scheme, etc.
- Two preservation awards will be bestowed upon individuals who have given of themselves through volunteering and community activism to make their neighborhood and the City a better place to live, they are Jan Earl & Gabriel Works.
WHEN: 2pm to 3:30pm on Wednesday, May 23, 2012
WHERE: Grand Rapids Community Foundation, 185 Oakes Street SW –
Multi-Purpose Room C
This is an invitation only event that is open to all media. Light refreshments will be provided.
