The format of Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters' Writers2 series is conducive to intimate conversations between the writers themselves, as well as the audience members. Our first Writers2 will be on Wednesday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m. here at GLCL, 758 Wealthy St SE, Grand Rapids. Robert VanderMolen and Michael Delp will have a conversation, with Micki Kelly and Todd Mercer joining in.
Robert Haight was born in Detroit and received a B.A. in English and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Western Michigan University. He has published two poetry collections, Water Music, and Emergences and Spinner Falls. Robert has won several awards and teaches writing, literature and meditation at Kalamazoo Valley Community College.
Michael Delp is an award-winning writer of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Among his publications are As If We Were Prey, Over the Graves of Horses, Under the Influence of Water, The Coast of Nowhere and The Last Good Water. He also has authored six chapbooks of poetry. In addition, Delp is a retired creative writing instructor at Interlochen Arts Academy.
