How can environment in storytelling be utilized effectively without going too far and detracting from plot and character? This class will delve into "place" in storytelling, provide strategies for making appropriate choices, and illustrate methods for successful use of environment in your writing.
This workshop is led by Robert James Russell, author of Mesilla , Sea of Trees, and Don't Ask Me to Spell it Out. He is founding editor of the literary journals Midwestern Gothic and CHEAP POP.
