Talk baseball and White Caps with Grand Rapids’ Lew Chamberlin

Covenant Village of the Great Lakes, a faith-based, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will host a Meet and Greet with Lew Chamberlin, president of the West Michigan White Caps on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m.
The history of baseball in Grand Rapids runs deep. Come hear from the man who’s been close to it his whole life and career—Grand Rapids native and president of the West Michigan White Caps, Lew Chamberlin. 
 
Chamberlin was instrumental in bringing professional baseball to Grand Rapids 20 years ago. Learn the history of the White Caps, and listen as Chamberlin talks shop about the future of the franchise and what it takes to run a baseball team.  He’ll also share stories only those on the inside can tell, including the impact of the fire that struck the White Caps’ stadium in January and the journey to re-build the ballpark in time for the season opener on April 8.
