The Spoke Folks looks to send in their 501c3 by the end of October. Currently they are focusing on putting together a Board of Directors.

Nominations are open until September 25 and voting will take place on September 27 during the members meeting. All are invited to attend this meeting. If you are not a member but are interested in becoming one, you can sign up that night during the meeting and place your vote.

When considering a nomination, The Spoke Folks advises members to keep in mind that they are looking for people who clearly understand their mission:

"To increase and sustain bicycle ridership in Grand Rapids. To educate all people on bicycle maintenance. To provide a well-equipped community space for individuals to work on their bikes. To provide a place for members of the bicycling community to gather and share ideas and a common passion."
