City Offices to Close for the Holiday Season
On Monday, the City of Grand Rapids sent out a press release to remind residents that, due to the upcoming holiday season, the majority of City offices will be closed starting this weekend and continuing into next week. The scheduled closures provided in the release are as follows:
December 23 | City offices closed; all GRPL branches closed* (Due to severe weather) |
December 24 | City offices closed; all GRPL branches closed |
December 25 | City offices closed; all GRPL branches closed |
December 26 | City offices closed; all GRPL branches closed |
December 27 | City offices/GRPL open |
December 28 | City offices/GRPL open |
December 29 | City offices/GRPL open |
December 30 | City offices/GRPL open |
December 31 | All GRPL branches closed |
January 1 | All GRPL branches closed |
January 2 | City offices closed |
Additionally, the City of Grand Rapids has announced that there will not be any delays in trash or recycling pick up this year. For more information, visit the City's website here.

- The City of Grand Rapids' Park and Recreation Department announced on Tuesday that it has officially reopened the "winter recreation trails" (bike, ski, and snowshoe loops) at the Indian Trails Golf Course for residents to enjoy.
