You can say what you want about California's economic woes (and they have plenty), but an excellent community college/junior college education there costs less than $30 per credit hour vs. GRCC at $95. If a State doesn't value education it can't happen for lots of people.

This week's poll, coming out while our young people go back to school, was inspired by recent conversations about food costs and an article that noted the below:

"In fiscal 2010, Michigan ranked 45th in per-capital state financial aid."
