Meet the author of the 2015 One Book, One City for Kids selection Rita Williams-Garcia! Williams-Garcia is a New York Times bestselling author and the winner of the Scott O’Dell Award for Historical Fiction, the Newbery Award, the Coretta Scott King Award and a National Book Award finalist. Students can have their copy of One Crazy Summer signed. Youth from the Cook Library Center will present a bilingual presentation of the book, and book trailers students have made will be shown. Refreshments and cake will be served.
