The Michigan Poet, in celebration of National Poetry Month and in collaboration with Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters, is pleased to present Poetry Imperson, an evening of competitive recited poetry. The event takes place Friday, April 1st, 2016, at Great Lakes Commonwealth of Letters and will be guest judged by Grand Rapids' own David Cope. The event begins at 6:30 pm. A $50 prize will be awarded to the best performed poem in both U18 and Adult categorizes. U18 participants will go first, followed by Adult participants. This event is free and open to all ages to compete and attend.
