TUTTLE’S SELECT CIGARS UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP
Mark Renzenbrink takes over 17-year-old iconic retailer of cigars and fine tobaccos Tuttle’s Select Cigars, an established tobacco retailer which holds claim to Grand Rapids’ first cigar smoking lounge, has announced that a new owner is taking the reins. Former broadcast executive Mark Renzenbrink has purchased Tuttle’s Select Cigars from previous owner Gary Tuttle who founded this business in 1994.
Renzenbrink, formerly director of sales with Regent Broadcasting and Townsquare Media, has always had an affinity for the cigar industry, and was a loyal customer of Tuttle’s for 16 years. “When Gary shared that he was seeking other opportunities, I couldn’t imagine not being able to come here, and I knew that his many loyal customers would feel the same,” said Renzenbrink. “It wasn’t a difficult decision for me – I wanted Tuttle’s to keep its place in the community and from there, everything just worked out.”
“Mark is a longtime friend and I know my customers are in great hands.” Tuttle added. “His commitment to carry on the Tuttle’s tradition is evident.”
Tuttle’s Select Cigars, located at 3835 28th St. SE, has Grand Rapids’ largest single walk-in, cedar-lined humidor and boasts a comfortable smoking lounge with WiFi access, HDTV and a free-parking location.
Tuttle’s was the first authorized area retailer of Opus X, some of world’s most rare and soughtafter cigars. Tuttle’s carries an extensive line of cigar and pipe smoking accessories in addition to more than 30 brands of premium, hand-rolled cigars including Arturo Fuente, Ashton, Opus
X, La Gloria Cubana, My Father, Rocky Patel, Romeo and Julietta, and more. Specifics of the deal will not be disclosed.
