Hope Academy of West Michigan is celebrating National Reading Month by inviting members of the community into the school to read to children. The goal is to promote reading habits among young children and encourage them to continue reading throughout their childhood. Community members who have already signed up for this event include:

Rick Huisman, executive director of Boys and Girls Club of Grand Rapids Commonwealth 1:30 on Tuesday, March 4

Brutus the Bulldog, Ferris State’s mascot 12:45 on Wednesday, March 5

 Lori Cook, Maranda with WOOD/WOTV 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 13.

Mark Meijer, president of Life EMS Ambulance 1:30 on Tuesday, March 18.

Plans for visitors for Tuesday, March 11; Thursday, March 20; Tuesday, March 25; and Thursday, March 27 are still in the works.
