Covenant Village of the Great Lakes, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will host Dr. Prerana Manohar for its HealthyU monthly lecture series “Top 3 Ways to Prevent Cardiac Hospitalization,” on Monday, Feb. 9.
Enjoy coffee and refreshments at 9 a.m., followed by the presentation at 10 a.m.
Dr. Manohar is a leading cardiologist and medical director of the Heart + Wellness Institute in Grand Rapids. She’ll highlight common cardiac conditions affecting men and women and offer lifestyle/nutritional changes to help prevent heart disease and stroke. Audience members will also learn about common risk factors associated with heart disease and symptoms to watch for.
Manohar is the medical chairperson for the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women and serves on the State of Michigan Cardiovascular Health Advisory Committee. She is passionate about educating the public about women and heart disease. She has appeared on PBS and other local radio/television shows.
