Fellowship and coffee at 9 a.m., followed by the event at 10 a.m. Carol Robinson, DNP, RN, community coordinator for Making Choices Michigan, a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating advance health care planning by residents in the West Michigan community, is the featured speaker.
Robinson will explain the value of using a trained facilitator to guide conversations with your loved ones about your wishes for future medical care. She’ll provide tips to help you choose the right person to speak on your behalf when you can no longer speak for yourself. Finally, she’ll explain the importance of developing advance directives now to prevent confusion later.
