Grand Rapids Public Museum

272 Pearl Street SW
Grand Rapids MI 49504

In an effort to enhance its exciting school field trip program, the Grand Rapids Public Museum is looking to hire 18 new Educator volunteers. Educators will engage both students and the general public in guided learning experiences that enhance the Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits, special events and learning lab initiatives.

Participants will receive in-depth and ongoing training while preparing to lead small groups through curriculum based programing, group leadership, and teaching methods, while gaining extensive knowledge of the Grand Rapids Public Museum.

Interested volunteers are encouraged to attend an open house to learn more about the Museum’s education program opportunities and volunteer roles. Following recruitment, volunteers must attend one training session. The training session will allow volunteers to witness and learn more about programs offered at the GRPM through their own experiences.

Recruitment Open Houses:

Dates: Tuesday, August 23 and Thursday, September 1

Open houses are 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Light refreshments and volunteer educator materials/information will be provided at each session.
