The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan Fundraiser Bring A Full Week of Promotions
March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day, a day that represents the 3 copies of chromosome 21, which is unique to those born with Down syndrome. World Down Syndrome Day was created to promote awareness and understanding of Down syndrome and to achieve dignity, equal rights and a better life for people with Down syndrome.
Using World Down Syndrome Day as the time line, Engage is putting together a fundraiser to to benefit the DSAWM while also promoting the the possibility and potential of individuals with Down syndrome.
321Shop! is an event that will take place from March 19th - 25th. The community will be able to purchase 321Shop! silicone key chains in order to show their support for the DSAWM. In return for their donation, supporters will be entitled to discounts and promotions at local retailers all throughout West Michigan when they present their key chains at participating shops. Retailers span from downtown Grand Rapids to Rockford to the lakeshore including shops such as Olives, The Rockford Corner Bar and Dockside. Key chains will be for sale at specified, local flagship businesses for a charitable donation of $10. A complete listing of participating business will be able to be found via web page and the events official Facebook page.

The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan (DSAWM) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to be a resource and advocacy organization, promoting public awareness and supporting lifelong opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Engage, the young professional advisory board of The Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan, has a mission of sharing the possibility and potential in West Michigan with and for those who have Down syndrome while simultaneously encouraging the community to patronize local businesses of all types.
