Covenant Village of the Great Lakes hosts "Healthy Brain, Healthy You" with Linda Sasser

Covenant Village of the Great Lakes, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities, will host educational psychologist Dr. Linda Sasser as she presents, “Healthy Brain, Healthy You,” on Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 11 a.m.

As we age, keeping the brain sharp is vital to enjoying a full and rewarding lifestyle. Dr. Sasser will explain how memory works and typical age-related memory changes. She will then describe activities attendees can use to maintain and even improve brain function. Using her distinctive method of optimizing the brain functions of attention, working memory and long-term memory, attendees will learn how to better remember names, information and tasks.

Sasser has an M.A. and Ph.D. in educational psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and is a former education professor at Judson University, Elgin, Ill. and Wheaton College, Wheaton, Ill. Presenting content relevant to senior adults, Sasser will encourage audience participation.
