In light of Pope Francis’s latest encyclical Laudato Si, this small-group study will examine basic environmental justice themes through the lens of Catholic social teaching and scripture using the book entitled, “Catholics Going Green,” by Walter E. Grazer. Each of the six chapters is filled with useful environmental discussions, relevant scripture readings, prayers and stories of ordinary people who are making a difference. Especially important are its suggestions of specific ways in which we can take action to protect people and the planet. The book, Catholics Going Green ($6.00) will be available for purchase at the CIC. CFD: Methodology ($10.00 donation per session requested
