BSI HEALTHCARE SERVICES PARTNERS TO ELIMINATE HIV AND EDUCATE THE COMMUNITY.
BSI Healthcare Sponsors Red Project to Host International Dining Event in Grand Rapids
Grand Rapids, MI – April10, 2012. BSI Healthcare Services is proud to announce their partnership with the Grand Rapids Red Project as sponsors of this year’s local Dining Out for Life® International dinner event, scheduled for April 26, 2012. The annual event raises money to continue the work towards eliminating HIV/AIDS in the Grand Rapids community.
Each year cities across the U.S. and Canada participate in this event to raise funds for local HIV/AIDS organizations. Internationally, more than 3,500 restaurants donate a portion of their proceeds from this one special night of dining to the licensed agency in their city. In Grand Rapids, the host organization is the Red Project, whose mission is improving health, preventing HIV, and reducing risk.
This year BSI Healthcare Services is sponsoring the Red Project in Grand Rapids, and corporations in more than 55 other cities are doing the same in their community, to help advance local programming and HIV prevention efforts. Nearly $4 million dollars a year is raised by Dining Out For Life to support the missions of these agencies throughout North America.
BSI Healthcare Services works with finance and procurement departments in the healthcare industry throughout the U.S., this commitment to the healthcare community, as well as the community at large, makes this partnership a perfect fit for the two organizations. “At BSI Healthcare Services we care about our community and the health and wellbeing of the people who live and work where we do,” said Charlie Fayon, CEO of BSI Healthcare Services. “We are 100-percent committed to the healthcare industry, and we believe the Red Project’s mission of education and testing is vital to the health of our community.”
Every year corporate sponsors help offset the costs associated with coordinating the dining event. This year BSI Healthcare Services joins CompuCraft Technology Solutions, Fifth Third Bank, Haworth Inc., and nearly fifteen other corporate sponsors in Grand Rapids to help ensure that 100% of the funds raised through the event stay local and fight HIV/AIDS in Kent County. “We are extremely grateful to our participating restaurants and generous sponsors,” said Tami VandenBerg, Board President for The Grand Rapids Red Project. “Preventing HIV and supporting our neighbors who are HIV Positive benefits all of us. We are fortunate to have such forward-thinking businesses in Grand Rapids.”
