From February 1 - May 2, 2012, Dominican Center at Marywood  is offering a 13-week program that will study the interfaith discussion of soul traits from the wisdom of the Hebrew Scripture and rabbinical writings. This is a 13-week course with an introductory session to acquaint participants with a Jewish path of spiritual growth and help them discover their soul's curriculum. Using the Hebrew Scriptures, the sayings of the rabbis, and a weekly practice, this is a wonderful opportunity for Christians, Jews and people of all other faiths to share their spiritual journeys. Sessions will vary weekly between meetings of the whole group and individual meetings between program study companions.

The program will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. Cost for the entire program is $125.00.

The presenter for this program is Barb Christiaans, an interfaith spiritual director who loves journeying with people spiritually, and who has a passion for building bridges between faith groups. Counseling refugees and immigrants rooted her in interfaith work. She holds a Master of Arts in Family Studies from Michigan State University and a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Direction. Her course "Through A Jewish Lens" not only introduces participants to a traditional Jewish practice, but also provides an experience of different faiths truly walking together spiritually. Christiaans is a member of Congregation Ahavas Israel where she is on the Religious Life Committee, facilitates an ongoing Mussar va’ad, and co-leads an art group.
