I-196 westbound through Grand Rapids was closed for several hours on Sunday night while authorities worked to clear an overturned semi-truck. The truck was travelling at an excessive rate of speed while exiting US-131 southbound onto I-196 west when it rolled over blocking the ramp and the entire westbound expressway. Authorities on the scene indicated that two semi-trucks behind the truck that overturned slowed down to stop traffic in case the truck did overturn, preventing secondary accidents.
There have been several similar accidents on the same interchange ramp this year, one ending in a fatality. No one was injured in this incident and authorities escorted the driver from the scene in handcuffs.

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad no one got hurt! Thanks for reporting this, Matt. Wow, and I'm so glad the other truck drivers had their wits about them to leap into action!

is that a crane they're using to lift up the semi?
