Each week the Volunteer Center will highlight an exciting skill-based opportunity found on our Volunteer Solutions website. This week's opportunity comes from The Grand Rapids Children's Museum:

The GRCM is seeking an exhibits technician to assist with the design, fabrication and maintenance of exhibits. This work may include painting, drawing, sanding, sawing, drilling, etc. The exhibits constructed are "one of a kind". Creativity, good problem solving skills are very helpful. Because of the large number of children who visit the museum they frequently need to repair, paint or replace parts of the exhibits.

The volunteer must have some prior experience with power tools. This work is primarily done during the day, Monday - Friday. It is important that this volunteer be able to come on a regular basis. It is fun to see the children's faces as they enjoy the exhibits.

To learn more, please view the Volunteer Solutions listing for this opportunity.
