Each week the Volunteer Center highlights a compelling skills-based volunteer (SBV) opportunity found on our Volunteer Solutions website. This week's SBV opportunity comes from Disability Advocates of Kent County

Many of Grand Rapids homeless citizens are people with disabilities. Adequate and suitable housing is difficult to find. The experienced adult volunteer Disability Advocates is looking for, working with other experienced adults, will engage in advocacy to improve accessible and affordable housing opportunities for these residents.

* Looking to engage volunteers 55+
* Will provide training for the advocacy work to be done.
