Now registering for Spring Semester classes
Kent ISD is offering ESL and GED classes at three locations in the metro-GR area. Registration is ongoing from 1/8-1/11 between 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Beckwith School at 2405 Leonard NE, Grand Rapids, 49505 offers ESL Level 1 and 2, Adult Basic Education/Pre GED, and GED classes. An offical GED testing center is also located within the school. Three sessions each day are taught by certified instructors specializing in ESL instruction. Choose the one that fits your work schedule or personal needs. The morning session runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. The afternoon session runs Monday through Friday 12:15 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The evening session runs Monday through Wednesday from 5:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. If interested in the Beckwith location, stop by or call 616-819-2734 for more information. Beckwith School is located at the intersection of Leonard NE and Maryland. It is on Bus Route #15.
Wyoming Community Education at 3600 Byron Center Ave. Wyoming, MI 49519 offers ESL Level 1 and 2, Adult Basic Education/Pre GED, and GED classes. Three sessions each day are taught by certified instructors specializing in ESL instruction. Choose the one that fits your work schedule or personal needs. The morning session runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 11:45 a.m. The afternoon session runs Monday through Friday 12:15pm-3:00pm. The evening session runs Monday through Wednesday from 5:15 p.m. - 8:45 p.m. If interested in the Wyoming location, stop by or call 616-530-7500 for more information. Wyoming Community Ed is located at the intersection of 36th Street and Byron Center. It is on Bus Route 16.
Godfrey-Lee Adult Ed is located at 982 Lee St. Wyoming, MI 49509. This location only offers ESL during one all-day session Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Things to bring to registration: a one-time $25 registration fee, photo ID showing you are 19 or older, and transcripts (GED only).
