The second year of FALL FESTIVAL took place this weekend on Wealthy Street at various locations between Union and Fuller Streets. The popular event kicked off on Thursday, Sept. 8 and culminated on saturday with Salmagundi at Wealthy Theater

Live music, baked goods, art and even the Wonder Wagon made appearances.

FALL FESTIVAL is a cooperative production between ArtPeers and several local businesses and organizations held to highlight some of the art, music and culture happening in the Uptown neighborhoods of Grand Rapids, featuring venues in East Hills, Baxter and Madison Area. Many local residents have expressed that ArtPrize didn't bring much attention to the thriving art and music scene in Uptown, so this was a creative solution to showcase those talents. Now it is seen as a sort of "prelude" to the exposure brought by ArtPrize in Grand Rapids.
